New Year’s Eve in Campanian Archipelago (gulf of Naples, Capri, Ischia & Procida)

There are three large islands in the Gulf of Naples, Procida, Ischia and Capri.
The first two considered together with Nisida the Phlegrean islands, which unlike Capri, represents as the continuation of the Sorrentine peninsula, are of volcanic origin and not geological of tectonic type. Their notoriety leaves no room for grand narratives, but we can certainly describe this cruise, as a classic of the Italian dolce vita, an indescribable set of color, warmth and art, encapsulated in a series of snapshots such as: Punta Campanella, the Faraglioni, Borgo Marinaro, Sant Angelo, The Aragonese Castle… There are no words, only indelible memories.

Planned embarkation and disembarkation in Pozzuoli.

Itinerary: first stop, Procida. Island of volcanic origin, formed mainly of yellow tuff and grid and basalts.
The picturesque bay of Marina Corricella is an explosion of colors: its fishing boats and characteristic houses of Mediterranean architecture make it one of the most photographed places in the world.
Beautiful beaches such as Chiaia, Chiaiolella and Pozzo Vecchio will be part of the daily menu.

Another island we will visit is Ischia, passing through Vivara, an island that is currently uninhabited and is a state nature reserve.
The coves of Casamicciola, Lacco Ameno or Porto d’Ischia await us for a day of sun, relaxation and snorkeling. We can continue around the island and enjoy the sunset as seen from the boat.

After Ischia it will be the turn of Capri, known worldwide for its beauty. The island is of karst origin and was initially joined to the Sorrento peninsula, where today the Strait of Bocca Piccola is located. We will sail along the rugged coastline, full of caves (including the majestic Blue Grotto) and steep cliffs. We will by no means miss our rendezvous with the Faraglioni, small rocky islets that lie a short distance from the shore. In the late afternoon, an aperitif in the Piazzetta is a must-do.

The program is purely indicative, it will be modified according to weather conditions at the captain’s sole discretion.
