Seychelles

The Seychelles is a group of 115 islands, very few of which are inhabited, surrounded by the Indian Ocean, located east of the African coast, NE of Madagascar. There are 43 inner islands in all-41 granitic and 2 coral-and a total of 72 outer islands. Most of Seychelles’ population lives on the inner islands, made of granite, where luxury resorts are located. The main islands are Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue. Praslin is home to one of two UNESCO World Heritage Sites here in the Seychelles, the fabulous Vallée de Mai, while on the island of La Digue you can visit the famous Anse Source d’Argent beach, with its giant tortoise enclosure and a magnificent Creole mansion.

Tropical paradise above and below the sea aboard comfortable catamarans with full board (skipper and hostess and gourmet cuisine).
Dazzlingly white beaches accessible only by catamaran, warm waters, only 4º from the Equator, small picturesque ports. The Seychelles archipelago is regarded as an Eden on earth: it has more natural and marine parks than any other place in the world.

Itinerary

We will sail in the morning, after breakfast, to move from island to island continuing with endless swimming the day, snorkeling, reef excursions, dinners with gourmet cuisine on board and cocktails exclusively with local products.

We will spend the nights at anchor in the roadstead on uncrowded bays. We won’t miss sunsets that will only make us relax and dream, and starry skies will accompany us through the night, lulled by the boat!

The Seychelles International Airport, Victoria-Seychelles, is about 7 km from the embarkation marina, Eden Island Marina. Should you prefer, we can arrange your transfer from the airport directly by boat.
Once you arrive at the embarkation marina, you will allow yourself time to fully recover from the time difference.

Day 1: Embarkation in Mahé in the late morning. Sail to St. Anne Marine Park with first dives and anchor for the night.

Day 2: Visit the islands of St. Anne Marine Park, a beautiful place to snorkel. After lunch, sail to Cocos Island, made of large rocks with strange regular striations carved by the sea. The island is a wonderful sight with a great harmony of shapes and colors. Underwater, the view is equally attractive with thousands of fish. Snorkeling and diving in front of the picturesque harbor of La Digue.

Day 3: It will be La Digue Island’s turn. In addition to the various dives that await us, you can rent a bike and visit this quiet and beautiful island. With its paths winding under tall palm trees, things with palm leaf roofs, small coprah factories, beautiful white sand beaches and large smooth rocks.
La Digue is perhaps the most beautiful island in the Seychelles. No cars, only bicycles or ox-drawn carts. For lovers, possibility of horseback riding. Overnight anchorage in the port of La Digue.

Day 4: Visit Cousine Island. Became a nature reserve and bird sanctuary, with rare species and some giant tortoises. Lunch as always on board, pampered by our gourmet cuisine. In the afternoon we will move to Praslin, enchanting walk to the Vallée de Mai, a valley under UNESCO protection. 40-meter-high logs gently swaying with the breeze, paths almost in the darkness created by the huge palm leaves of the “cocos de mer.” These landscapes will be able to give us so much serenity!!!

Day 5: It is the day of Grande Soeur. Lunch with barbecue on the beach, one of the most beautiful in Seychelles. Snorkeling, diving, walks of about 40 minutes to discover the island and the inevitable time devoted to relaxation. For the night instead anchor in Curieuse or Anse Petit Cour.

Day 6: We will explore Curieuse, an island that is part of the National Marine Park. Over a hundred turtles live here. After lunch we will move to the islet of Saint Pierre, a mass of rounded rocks crowned by a group of tall palm trees that sway gently in the wind. This is an excellent place for snorkeling with magnificent underwater scenery. Overnight anchorage is planned at Anse Volbert or Anse Lazio, Praslin.

Day 7: Breakfast, dive, snorkel, relax on the beautiful beaches of Praslin. In the afternoon, sailing to Mahé and overnight anchorage at Anse Major.

Day 8: Wake up in Anse Major, a rarely visited and unspoiled place, accessible only to hikers and by boat. The weather is not running so we will have all the amenities for the usual water sports activities in this magnificent place. After lunch and after more diving we will depart for Silhouette. This will also be our overnight anchorage.

Day 9: Silhouette is located about 15 miles north/west of Mahé. The hills covered with tropical trees are reminiscent of Mahé, the coconut palms on the beach side evoke Praslin and its incomparable beaches. Granite rock formations give the impression of La Digue. A trail through the lush vegetation will introduce us to the beautiful and exceptional tropical forests.
In the afternoon we will sail to Beau Vallon on Mahé.

Day 10: We will discover Beau Vallon, a vast white beach surrounded by unspoiled nature. Snorkeling, kayaking, free time to relax will be the menu for the day. After lunch we will move to Eden Island Marina, the world’s most prestigious marina. Here we will spend our last night of this wonderful vacation.

Day 11: Disembark in the early morning hours, of course after breakfast and the classic end-of-vacation greetings.
